A two-hour special of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) will be broadcast from 7:00 pm on November 28th. A past "legendary episode" featuring Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers will be shown in a special episode.
The show is to commemorate the Dodgers' victory in the major leagues, and Hideki Kuriyama, Otani's "mentor" who served as manager of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC), will explain Otani's greatness to Kuroyanagi, who is not familiar with baseball. He will also reveal some secret episodes that only Kuriyama knows. Otani has previously appeared on "Tetsuko's Room Celebrating 40 Years: Strongest Dream Talk Special" in February 2016 and "Tetsuko's Room: Strongest Dream Talk Special in Spring" in April 2017. In the April 2017 broadcast, Kuroyanagi and Matsuko Deluxe bombarded Otani, who was 22 years old at the time, with questions, and even got nosy, telling him, "You should avoid group dates." Kuroyanagi also checks out Otani's muscles, and many other memorable scenes from the "legendary episode" will be shown in this two-hour special.
