It has been announced that the new work of the anime series "The Quintessential Quintuplets" based on the popular romantic comedy manga by Haruba Negi, "The Quintessential Quintuplets*", will be exclusively streamed on ABEMA from 3am on December 23rd. You can watch it by subscribing to ABEMA Premium or ABEMA Premium with ads. The work will be streamed for free from 7pm on December 24th, Christmas Eve.
On November 23rd and 24th, all episodes of the first and second seasons of the TV anime and the special anime "The Quintessential Quintuplets∽" will be streamed for free.
"The Quintessential Quintuplets" depicts the story of a high school student living a poor life, Uesugi Futaro, who becomes a tutor to quintuplets with unique personalities who are on the verge of failing, and his struggles to guide them to graduation. It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from August 2017 to February 2020. The comic series has sold over 20 million copies in total.
"The Quintessential Quintuplets*" is a new work based on the original idea and completely supervised by the original author, Haruba, and is a film adaptation of the "honeymoon arc" of Fuutaro and the quintuplets. Prior to its TV broadcast, it was screened in theaters from September.
