The final episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9pm), starring Satoshi Tsumabuki, will be broadcast as an extended special on December 14th.
In the previous episode... Nozaki Shohei (Ichihara Shogo), the main jockey for the Royal Family, fell off his horse and broke a bone in the Autumn Tenno Sho. He returned a month earlier than expected, but was unable to place in any of the races he rode in after that, which left him feeling anxious. The family also found out he had a broken leg and had to take time off to recover. Furthermore, it was discovered that he had a serious condition in his right eye. Within the team and family, whispers of retirement began to circulate.
Koichi (Ren Meguro) travels to France to meet Sawatari Yuki (Mikako Ichikawa), a veterinarian based in France who can perform corneal transplants. After persistent negotiations, Sawatari is brought back to Japan, and the surgery is successful.
Approximately seven months after the fall, Kurisu (Tsumabuki) and Koichi witnessed the return of the family and Shohei during the final test to return to racing, and they high-fived and embraced.
In the final episode... the family makes a miraculous comeback, but in order for Kurisu and Koichi to take to the stage of the Arima Kinen, which they have always dreamed of, they must first win a major race.
Nobuyuki's (Taishi Nakagawa) So Perfect had won the Triple Crown and emerged as the leading candidate for the Arima Kinen as the "champion of the era."
Team Royal holds a rally to reaffirm their unity, and Koichi quietly expresses his unwavering resolve.
After meeting Kozo (Koichi Sato), Kurisu begins her journey with the dream of winning the G1. After countless setbacks, the door to destiny finally opens!
The original work is the novel of the same name by Hayami Kazuma (Shincho Bunko).
