A special program digging up the unknown side of Akashiya Sanma, "Nobody Knows Akashiya Sanma Vol. 11" (Nippon TV), will be broadcast from 7:00 PM on December 14th. In the program, businessman Yusaku Maezawa visits his new home under construction in his hometown of Chiba Prefecture, revealing the full details of the mansion, which is nearing completion.
Thirteen years have passed since construction began on the new home, and it is such a masterpiece that it has been dubbed the "Sagrada Familia of Chiba." When Sanma was shown around, he was overwhelmed by its scale and the extraordinary attention to detail in the materials.
The huge stone wall that decorates the entrance is made of the highest quality "Aji stone" that can only be found in Mount Goken in Kagawa Prefecture. It is said that it took a year just to build the stone wall, and Sanma exclaimed, "I'm in awe." The entrance door is made of "Jindai cedar" that is about 3,600 years old and was buried underground when Mount Chokai erupted about 2,600 years ago.
The kitchen has a counter made of the finest Italian marble. It is said to be worth over hundreds of millions of yen, and Sanma couldn't hide his surprise, exclaiming, "You're kidding!" In the basement there is a wine cellar that is 17 meters long and can store 2,200 bottles of wine, and the sheer size of the space is astounding.
There is apparently a place in the alcove of the Japanese-style room in the basement that is strictly off-limits, and even leaving fingerprints is not allowed.Sanma comments, "If that was a normal private home, I'd be angry!" and "It's on a whole other level!" as he reports on Maezawa's mansion.
