On November 19th, actors Masaki Okada and Mitsuki Takahata updated their Instagram accounts to announce their marriage, saying, "We are pleased to announce that Masaki Okada and Mitsuki Takahata are getting married."
The two posted a joint document signed by them. "We both started this job in our teens, and have come this far thanks to the countless wonderful people and projects we have encountered, and above all, the support of everyone. We are very happy and a little nervous that the day has come when we can make this announcement," they wrote.
"We have been like best friends, but from now on we will become husband and wife. We will work even harder to show everyone a better version of ourselves in our work, caring for and encouraging each other, so we hope you will continue to watch over us kindly."
Okada and Takahata first appeared together in the drama "1122 Good Couple," which was released on Prime Video in June, in which they co-starred. In the drama, they played a couple who had been married for seven years and were allowed to have extramarital affairs.
