The second key visual for the musical version of "Fate/Zero," a popular game and anime series, "Musical Fate/Zero: The Sword of Promised Victory," has been released. The visual features seven servants gathered together, including Saber, Archer, Rider, Lancer, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.
Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus, who wrote the novel "Fate/Zero," is involved in the script supervision of the musical, with Hideyuki Nishimori, who has worked on the stage play "Messiah" series and the musical "Moriarty the Patriot" series, writing the script, direction, and lyrics, and Tsuyoshi Sakabe in charge of the music. The musical will run from January 18 to 26, 2025 at THEATER MILANO-Za (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and from January 31 to February 2 at Sky Theater MBS (Kita-ku, Osaka).
A conversation between Urobuchi and Nishimori was held, and a portion of it was released on the official website. Urobuchi talks about his thoughts on the first stage adaptation of "Fate/Zero," and Nishimori talks about her plans for a musical.
"Fate/Zero" is a spin-off novel by Urobuchi published in 2006 as a prequel to the game "Fate/stay night," with illustrations by Takeuchi Takashi, who also worked on the game. Masters such as Emiya Kiritsugu fight alongside Servants for the Holy Grail, which is said to grant the wish of whoever holds it. The TV anime series also garnered popularity, with the first season airing from October to December 2011, and the second from April to June 2012.
