"The World of Masamune Shirow" Exhibition at Setagaya Literary Museum: "Ghost in the Shell" and the trajectory of his creativity

It has been announced that an exhibition of Shirow Masamune, a manga artist known for works such as "Ghost in the Shell," entitled "The World of Shirow Masamune: Ghost in the Shell and the Path of Creation," will be held at the Setagaya Literary Museum (Setagaya Ward, Tokyo) from April 12, 2025. With a focus on "Ghost in the Shell," the exhibition will trace Shirow's career from his early work "Black Magic" to "Appleseed," "Dominion," "Senjutsu Choukaku Orion," and up to the present. The exhibition will run until August 17, 2025.

A key visual featuring Shirow's representative works, including "Ghost in the Shell," has also been released. A large number of original goods and brand collaboration goods will be on sale, and collaborations with other artists are also planned.

Shirow began his career in manga and illustration in 1982. In addition to "Appleseed," "Dominion," "Ghost in the Shell," and "Pandora in the Crimson Shell," he is active in a variety of fields, including anime, games, and art books.
