It has been announced that WOWOW will broadcast and stream a special of five documentaries titled "John Lennon: The Unknown Face" on December 8th, the anniversary of the death of former Beatles member John Lennon.

The four documentaries to be broadcast and streamed are "John Lennon: The Lost Weekend" and "John Lennon & Paul McCartney Songbook" (four works).

"John Lennon: The Lost Weekend" is a work that depicts the truth of the 18 months known as the "Lost Weekend" when Lennon left his wife Yoko Ono and lived apart from her, through the testimony of May Pang, who was their personal secretary. What happened during the "Lost Weekend" that has been talked about and speculated about in the past? This documentary, which contains numerous valuable testimonies, secret stories, and footage, will be broadcast on television for the first time.

"John Lennon & Paul McCartney Songbook" is a four-part documentary series focusing on Lennon and Paul McCartney. This film traces the path of these two rare geniuses who created so many great songs, from their time with The Beatles to their solo careers.

There are two designs: the "Julian" design features an illustration of Lennon and his eldest son, Julian Lennon. The other design, "motifs," has elements from "The Lost Weekend" scattered across the back print. Each design costs 5,720 yen.
