It has been revealed that Morito, a boy who appears in the new TV anime Shinkalion Change the World, part of the popular Shinkalion anime series, is Kushiko Morito, the driver of Shinkalion Doctor Yellow, a train that transforms from the 923-type Doctor Yellow bullet train. It was also announced that voice actress Mutsumi Tamura will be playing Morito.
A visual of Great Doctor Yellow, the combined form that is Shinkalion Doctor Yellow's "true form," has also been released. Until now, with the exception of Shinkalion SRG, Shinkalions have mainly combined with Elda Vehicles, but Doctor Yellow will now combine with three cars. Great Doctor Yellow has power comparable to Shinkalion SRG. The large shield equipped on its arm, the Great Hosen Shield, protects allies from all attacks. It uses a built-in detection sensor on its forehead to find the enemy's weak points and delivers an unparalleled blow with the Great Kensoku Blade.
It was also announced that a Shinkalion Doctor Yellow toy, "Shinkalion CW Doctor Yellow" (Takara Tomy), will be released in early November. The price is 9,900 yen.
Tamura, who plays Morito, commented, "Until now, I've only spoken to Taisei in the metaverse, but I'm gradually getting to know more people! I'm gradually getting to know everyone and becoming friends with them, but in the story, something difficult awaits Morito. I cried so much that I thought I wouldn't be able to do the voice recording, but I felt like I was able to blend into the Shinkalion team little by little with the help I received in real life. Morito will also gradually deepen his bond with everyone in the same way. The story will unfold in a way that even adults can't predict, so it's exciting. Please look forward to it!!"
A cut from the 27th episode, "Collapse," which will air on October 20th, was also released. "Shinkalion Change the World" depicts protagonist Taisei Taisei and other junior high school drivers piloting Shinkalions developed by the Super Evolution Railway Development Organization, commonly known as ERDA, to face off against mysterious enemies known as the Unknown that appear all over Japan. The Shinkalion that Taisei Taisei and his team ride combines with an armed and reinforced vehicle modeled after real-life construction vehicles. This is the first time in the series that a Shinkalion has combined with a vehicle. It airs every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on TV Tokyo.
