Actor Shiono Akihisa will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) broadcasting at 1:00 pm on October 10th. Having failed many auditions and just about to give up, he landed a big role and is performing the role of Emperor Ichijo in the currently airing NHK historical drama "Hikaru Kimi e". He will play the Ryuteki (traditional Chinese flute) that he performed in the drama in the studio.

Shiono's family owns a crepe shop that has been in business for over 40 years. He had no dreams as a student, and after graduating from junior high school, he decided to help out at his family's crepe shop instead of going on to high school. His debut in the entertainment world came when a regular customer at the shop recommended that he apply for the Junon Super Boy Contest. At first, he wasn't very enthusiastic, but as the selection process progressed, his feelings began to change.

Shiono will reveal his big dream, saying that for the first time, he had a dream of becoming an actor. Kuroyanagi, who was watching "Hikaru Kimi e", was said to be completely fascinated by his beautiful face from start to finish.
