To commemorate the start of the second season of the TV anime "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online (GGO)," a spin-off of Kawahara Reki's popular light novel "Sword Art Online (SAO)" (Dengeki Bunko), the video "ReoNa - GG Collaboration Movie 'Dive into GGO'" has been released on YouTube. The video allows you to dive into the world of the game "Gun Gale Online" and enjoy an immersive experience. The story is told from the perspective of a "certain player" who challenges Ren and his friends, and the opening theme "GG" sung by ReoNa plays.
It was also announced that the second season will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in six volumes. The first volume will be released on December 18th. As a bonus, it will come with a storage box for all volumes drawn by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, a CD of the character song "Dangerous Relationship," and an audio commentary. The second volume will come with an original novel written by Sigsawa Keiichi.
Advance downloads have also begun for the ending theme "Little Dancer," sung by Tomori Kusunoki as Len. The CD will be released on December 18th.
"GGO" is set in the game "Gun Gale Online," which also appeared in the second season of the "SAO" TV anime. It depicts female college student Karen Kohiruimaki fighting in the game world as Len, known as the "Pink Devil." The first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2018.
The second season will see the same voice actors as Kusunoki as Len and Yoko Hikasa as Pitohui. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other stations.
