"Blue Miblo" is a manga themed on the Shinsengumi by Yasuda Takeshi, who is known for the soccer manga "DAYS." With the start of a new chapter in the combined 21st and 22nd issues of the serialized magazine "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), released on April 24th, the title has been revamped to "Blue Miblo - Shinsengumi Edition - (1)" and the cover design has also been revamped for the 15th volume of the manga, released on September 17th.

Regarding the title and cover design, the editor in charge explained, "In the first part, we depicted the growth of the Mibu Roshigumi into the Shinsengumi, but in the second part, the Shinsengumi finally began their activities. It is because of the Mibu Roshigumi period that we are able to connect to the Shinsengumi of the late Edo period, and I think that there are many readers, including myself, who are looking forward to seeing the Shinsengumi in action. We packed this excitement into the cover of the manga using the light blue color, which is the image color of the Shinsengumi!"

The TV anime adaptation of the work will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday from 5:30 pm starting October 19th, which is also a hot topic. A promotional video commemorating the release of the first volume of "Blue Miblo - Shinsengumi Arc" has been released on the official Weekly Shonen Magazine YouTube channel, Magazine Channel, narrated by Tsuda Kenjiro, the voice actor who plays Nagakura Shinpachi in the anime.

Blue Miblo has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, it depicts the way of life of the Shinsengumi. The story follows Chirinunio, a boy who is honest, kind, and family-oriented, but who burns with justice deep in his heart, as he meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji of the Mibu-ro, a hated group of ronin.
