Mika Nakashima's final performance of her acoustic tour will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in October; four-month special lineup announced

It has been announced that the final performance of singer Mika Nakashima's acoustic live tour, which will be held on September 5th at Suntory Hall Blue Rose (Minato Ward, Tokyo), will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in October. WOWOW has already announced that it will be programming a "Mika Nakashima WOWOW Special" for three consecutive months from July to September, and with this latest addition to the lineup, it will be the fourth consecutive month of special programs.

Nakajima will be embarking on the nationwide acoustic live tour "Mika Nakashima Premium Live Tour 2025" from the 30th of this month, ahead of her 25th debut anniversary in 2026. Acoustic tours have become Nakajima's life work since her first tour in 2016. The instruments that adorn the stage are the piano and double bass, and Nakajima's singing voice and expressiveness are layered on top of them to spin out classic songs in a new look.

WOWOW will broadcast and stream the final performance of the acoustic live tour in October, titled "Mika Nakashima Premium Live Tour 2025."

"Mika Nakashima ASIA TOUR 2025 in SEOUL" (July 21, 4:45 p.m., WOWOW Live/WOWOW On Demand) = This program will exclusively broadcast and stream footage of Mika Nakashima's first Asia tour, which kicked off in Taipei in March 2025 and will visit six cities in total, as well as the Seoul performance and additional performance held at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea on May 11 of the same year, along with documentaries from the tour and newly filmed interviews.

"Mika Nakashima MUSIC VIDEO COMPLETE vol.1/vol.2" (August 5th, 7pm, WOWOW Live/WOWOW On Demand) = All of Nakashima's music videos that trace her career will be broadcast and streamed at once. Nakashima's musical history will be traced, including her own comments on the songs.

"Mika Nakashima LIVE HISTORY" (broadcast and distribution in September) = A selection of live performance footage from her first tour to her latest live performance. Also includes a newly filmed interview with Nakashima herself.

"The Worst Boy by Chance" (July 21, 10:30am, WOWOW Live, WOWOW On Demand) - Director Goo Soo-young adapted the novel of the same name that she previously published as a novel into a film. A youth drama that depicts the true-to-life lives of broken young people living today in a new way. Co-starring Nakajima and Hayato Ichihara. Released in 2003.

"NANA" (July 21, 12:30pm, WOWOW Live *broadcast only) - A film adaptation of the bestselling comic by Yazawa Ai. Co-starring Nakajima and actress Aoi Miyazaki. The story revolves around Nana (Nakajima), the lead singer of a rock band, and Nana (Miyazaki), a girl who puts love at the center of her life. The story is about the friendship between the two "Nanas," both 20 years old and complete opposites in terms of personality and values. Released in 2005. The music, including the theme song "GLAMOROUS SKY" sung by Nakajima, also attracted attention at the time of release.

"NANA2" (July 21, 2:30pm, WOWOW Live *broadcast only) = A sequel to the teen movie "NANA." Nakajima continues to play the role of Nana from the previous film, but there have been some changes to the cast, such as Aoi Miyazaki being replaced by Yui Ichikawa as Nana. Nana and Nana, who have completely opposite personalities, live together in Tokyo, but a rift gradually develops in their relationship... and so on. Released in 2006.

"Despicable Me 3" (dubbed version, 4:00 a.m., August 15, WOWOW Prime/WOWOW On Demand) = The fourth installment of the hit animated film "Despicable Me" series. It depicts the story of Gru, who had been living a peaceful life, and his ultimate nemesis, who appears before him, and the outcome of their confrontation. Nakajima voiced Lucy, Gru's wife and a member of the Anti-Villain League.
