It has been announced that the soccer manga Blue Lock, which is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), will collaborate with Liverpool FC, a soccer team in the English Premier League. To commemorate the second season of the anime series starting on October 5, volumes 1 to 5 of the comics with collaborative covers with Liverpool FC will be released one after another from October 1. The covers of each volume feature Kiyoyoichi, Hakuraku Kai, Kunigami Rensuke, Chigiri Hyouma, and Nagi Seishiro wearing the red uniforms of Liverpool FC.

To commemorate the collaboration, a campaign will be held in which 200 people will be chosen by lottery to win Liverpool FC goods. The lineup will include uniforms signed by players and stadium jumpers. To apply, use the application sticker attached to eligible books such as the Blue Lock comics. The application deadline is December 31.

Blue Lock is a manga written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yusuke, and has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2018. A nationwide project called Blue Lock has been launched to create an "absolute ace striker" who will lead Japan to victory in the FIFA World Cup, and 300 high school students are gathered together to fight. The innovative setting of a battle royale in which 300 strikers fight for survival and the unique characters have made the series popular.

The second season of the TV anime will air on TV Asahi from midnight on October 5th. From the second episode onwards, it will air every Saturday at 11:30pm on the station's anime slot "IMAnimation."
