On October 4th, TV Asahi will start a new variety show called "Scream Boys: Friday Late Night Horror Game" (Fridays 2:43-3:00 AM, Kanto local). It is one of the shows in the weekday late night variety zone "Barabara Daisakusen" on the same station, and will be hosted by Sakai Kenta of the comedy duo "Alco & Peace". The show will be themed on the world-famous horror game.
The show will feature MC Sakai and "cool guests" playing horror games in silent locations, and the usually cool guests will be shown "screaming".
In the first broadcast, guests Yoshida Hitoshi and Sono Shunta of the five-member dance and vocal group "M!LK", who are friends with Sakai, and Takano Masanari of the comedy duo "Kishitakano", will play the popular horror game in a pitch-black public bath after closing time. At the beginning, the cool guys act tough by saying "I've got no problem" and "Bring it on", but then they scream out loud.
After finishing the recording, Sakai said, "It was fun! It was amazing. It's a new kind of game show, so I definitely want everyone to watch it. I think you'll see faces, including guests, that you've never seen on TV before. Also, we used a location that you don't often get to use in this way."
The show will also be streamed on TELASA, ABEMA, TVer, and TV Asahi Catch Up.
