"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" features anime buyer Higuchi Sho from Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, sharing best-selling anime songs and real-life feedback from the sales floor. The number one album at the store from July 27th to August 3rd was "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Chochocho Musubi," a mini-album featuring the 8th anniversary song "Chochocho Musubi" from the popular game "The Idolmaster Million Live! Theater Days (Mirishita)."

"Mirishita" is a game that began service in June 2017, and this year marks its 8th anniversary. The number one song, "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Chocho Musubi," was written, composed, and arranged by Nakashima to commemorate the 8th anniversary. It also includes cover songs added in the in-game event "Million Linguage," such as "dear... (Asterism ver.)," "Secret Jewel ~The Enchanting Diamond~ (Rabbit Girls ver.)," "A Hundred Flowers Fall Under the Moonlight (SHINOBI Night ver.)," "Q of Spades (Pie Pie ver.)," and "Hanazakari Weekend (2 Luxury ver.)."
Taking second to ninth place are existing works, including the album "Completeness" by Ave Mujica, a band from the popular anime and game group "BanG Dream!"; the single "Requiem for Fate" by Roselia, the girl band from the same group; "Shine in a Cruel Night," the double theme song for the animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Akaza Returns," sung by LiSA; and the album " Kessoku Band Kessoku Band , the band featured in the anime " Bocchi the Rock! ".
Coming in at 10th place is the seventh original soundtrack for the smartphone RPG Fate/Grand Order (FGO), Fate/Grand Order Original Soundtrack VII, which made its debut.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku's 7th floor (Japanese music and sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He first became interested in anime through 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "BLUE SEED," and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flames," and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially those related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!" His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm," "The Idolmaster," "Photo Kano," and "Sakura Wars."
