Voice actress Hayashibara Megumi, who appeared in "Paprika," has sent a message in preparation for the "Kon Satoshi Birthday Celebration," a special screening of works by the late director Kon Satoshi, known for anime such as "Paprika" and "Paranoia Agent," which will be held at Ikebukuro Humax Cinemas (Toshima Ward, Tokyo) from October 11th.

At the "Kon Satoshi Birthday Celebration," "Paprika" will be screened in DCP for the first time in Japan. Hayashibara commented, "I can see Paprika on the big screen again! I'm really, really, really happy. For me, Paprika was a stress-free production to act in, and I truly felt like it was you who called me. Ever since I was little, I've often had strange dreams, and I've felt like I wanted to return to those dreams, or felt sad that dreams can't be recorded on video, or analyzed the events in my dreams, or enjoyed lucid dreams. This world, which may seem difficult at first glance, was a release for me. When I saw the paprika falling from the sky, it was as if my own experiences were being filmed, and I still remember the goosebumps I got." "Dreams have been analyzed from various angles, such as answering questions, liberation, and messages from the subconscious. In this age of social media, where slander disguised as righteousness and the desire for approval abounds, I think that dreams play an even more important role for humans as a place that is unique to oneself and inviolable by no one. I really wanted to see Director Ima's next film, and if possible, I would have liked to be involved in even just one word. The line that comes at the end, "I recommend the film 'Dreaming Children,'" repeats throughout the film. As long as people sleep, as long as there are dreams beside sleep, Paprika will not sleep. Please, please, enjoy it over and over again," he continued.

The special screening will also include "Tokyo Godfathers," "Perfect Blue," "Millennium Actress," and "Paranoia Agent." Until October 17th.
