Episode 12, "Ehirougu," of the new TV anime "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers," a direct sequel to the "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" TV anime series which aired from April 1988 to March 1989, aired on TOKYO MX on March 24th, featuring the first generation Samurai Troopers. The appearance of Sanada Ryo/Ryo of the Blazing Fire among the first generation Samurai Troopers had already generated buzz, and in episode 12, the other four, Hashiba Touma/Touma of the Sky, Date Seiji/Seiji of the Halo, Mouri Shin/Shin of the Water Margin, and Shurei Huang/Shu of the Diamond, joined the fray, bringing all five together in an exciting development. The visual of the ultimate white armor, Kikoutei, which is activated when the hearts of the five original Samurai Troopers unite as one, was also released.
Hirofumi Nojima, who will be playing Touma Hashiba/Touma of the Sky in the new series, commented, "When I first heard the title of the work, I cried out in nostalgia. And then, to think that I would be playing Touma, I felt a great deal of pressure and responsibility, but I feel that I was able to overcome it thanks to the kind senior voice actors!"
Ryotaro Okiayu, who will be playing Seiji Date/Seiji of the Halo in the new series, said, "I will be taking on the role of Seiji Date, also known as Seiji of the Halo. Since it's the latter half of the series, it's a mystery how much I'll be involved in the story, but I hope you'll look forward to it. I wonder if armor will run through my heart too? Also, I hope the armor gear of the senior team will be made into plastic models♪"
Nozomu Sasaki, who will be reprising his role as Shin Mori/Shin of the Water Margin from "Ronin Warriors," said, "Appearing in 'Ronin Warriors' is both nostalgic and fresh, and as I feel the armor in my heart, many emotions come to mind. I am filled with joy to finally be able to meet Shin Mori and all the fans again!"
Tomohiro Nishimura, who will be reprising his role as Shu of the Red Sea/Dragon God from "Ronin Warriors," commented, "All the villains this time are cool. Everyone's acting is great, and I learned a lot. As for the older Shu... he's just in the show... that's about it. He's wearing a turban, so it's hard to tell, but is Shu's hair okay?"
