To commemorate the broadcast of the second season of the TV anime "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online (GGO)," a spin-off of Kawahara Reki's popular light novel "Sword Art Online (SAO)" (Dengeki Bunko), it has been revealed that footage from the second season will be shown on the "LED Ad Cruise," an advertising boat equipped with an LED vision on the Dotonbori River in Osaka. It is scheduled to operate between Ukiniwabashi and Nihonbashi on the Dotonbori River from 4 to 6 October from 4 to 9 pm.
On the day of the first broadcast on October 4, "Large Plasma Grenade-shaped Mineral Water II" will be distributed at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) and Animate Osaka Nihonbashi (Naniwa-ku, Osaka). The mineral water that was distributed in Akihabara, Tokyo during the first season broadcast on April 7, 2018, will be revived for the first time in about six years. The water will be distributed in a new pink color.
"GGO" is a light novel written by Sigsawa Keiichi (Kino's Journey) and illustrated by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, and is set in the game "Gun Gale Online," which also appeared in the second season of the "SAO" TV anime. It depicts female college student Kohiruimaki Karen as Ren, known as the "Pink Devil," battling in the game world. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2018.
The second season, the first new work in about six years, will see the same voice actors as Ren, played by Kusunoki Tomori, and Pitohui, played by Hikasa Yoko. ReoNa will sing the opening theme "GG." It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11, and other stations from October 4th.
