Actor Okada Masaki appeared on stage on September 19th to thank fans for the success of the movie "The Last Mile" (directed by Tsukahara Ayuko) held in Tokyo. At the two previous events for the movie, Okada's stomach growled while the star Mitsushima Hikari was giving her speech, which became a hot topic, but "third time's a charm" and his stomach didn't growl. The movie was released on August 23rd and has been a hit, grossing 4 billion yen and attracting 2.8 million viewers.

The star Mitsushima Hikari and screenwriter Nogi Akiko also attended the stage greeting. As Mitsushima gave her final speech, Okada looked relieved. When asked "Oh, isn't your stomach not growling today?" Okada confessed, "I thought it would definitely not growl, my stomach." When he noticed the disappointed atmosphere around him, he regretted, "It should growl now." The event was hosted by TBS announcer Sugiyama Shinya, who also appears in the movie.

"The Last Mile" is a non-stop suspense story set in a "shared universe" that intersects with the world lines of the dramas "Unnatural" (2018) and "MIU404" (2020), directed by Tsukahara and written by Nogi. The story begins on the eve of Black Friday, one of the biggest events in the distribution industry, when a cardboard box delivered from the Kanto center of a global shopping site explodes, and eventually develops into a series of explosions that terrify all of Japan.

Mitsushima plays Funato Erena, the director of the Kanto center of the shopping site where the incident takes place, and Okada plays Nashimoto Akira, the center's team manager who is constantly being bossed around by Elena but works hard to solve the case.
