The theme song for the drama series "Mentsuyu Hitorimeshi 2" (BS Shochiku Tokyu, Wednesdays at 11pm), starring actress Sayashi Riho, has been decided to be "Spark!" by singer-songwriter Kishimoto Shiori. The drama will start airing on October 2nd.
"Mentsuyu Hitorimeshi 2" is based on Setoguchi Mizuki's four-panel manga "Mentsuyu Hitorimeshi" (Takeshobo), and is a gourmet comedy about a lazy office worker, Mendou Tsuyu, who calls "mentsuyu" the "all-in-one of the cooking world" and uses it in any dish to develop the ultimate time-saving recipe (lazy meal). Yamaguchi Mayu, Kaji Masaki, Momotsuki Nashiko, Mihara Uguisu, Yutaro, Kakei Miwako, Fuse Eri and others will also appear.
The theme song "Spark!" was created by Kishimoto with the theme of "conflict and positivity." It has a pop arrangement that is different from Kishimoto's previous songs, and is characterized by a catchy and addictive sound.
The drama "Mentsuyu Hitorimeshi 2" will be broadcast from October 2nd with a total of 13 episodes, and is scheduled to be aired every Wednesday from 11pm.
