It has been announced that voice actors Ishihara Kaori and Inoue Kikuko will appear in the TV anime "Magilumie Co., Ltd.", which is based on a manga currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+." Ishihara will play Aoi Lily, a magical girl from Miyakodo, a major cosmetics manufacturer, while Inoue will play Aso Miyako, the president of Miyakodo and a long-time friend of Shigemoto and Koga.
Ishihara said, "I was immediately drawn in by the unprecedented worldview of a world in which magical girls exist as a business! It's a wonderful work filled with each character's thoughts, aesthetics, and warmth, and I felt like I wanted to see more and more."
Inoue commented, "A magical girl story with a work-related theme? At first, I thought it was strange, but the more I read it, the more interesting it became, the cute, hardworking, cool, sad, exciting, intense, and heartwarming... I thought it was a wonderful work full of various elements!"
The second company introduction poster-style visual, designed with the company philosophy along with the magical girls and employees of each company, has been released. The visual is based on Miyakodo's philosophy of "A person's beauty comes from their strength," and "We will continue to support the strength of people behind beauty through our cosmetics and magical girl businesses."
"Majirumie Co., Ltd." is a "work x magical girl" action manga written by Iwata Yukika and illustrated by Aoki Yutaka. Set in a world where natural disasters known as "kaii" exist and magical girls who exterminate them are recognized as a coveted profession, the story follows the protagonist Sakuragi Kana, who joins the venture company Majirumie Co., Ltd. as a new graduate and struggles as a working adult and a magical girl. It has been a hot topic, ranking third in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Awards 2022."
The anime will be directed by Hiraoka Masahiro and produced by Moe and J.C.STAFF. Fairouz will play Sakuragi Kana, a new magical girl from Magirumier Co., Ltd., and Hanamori Yumiri will play Koshigaya Hitomi, a senior magical girl who has a rough personality but is caring and teaches Kana how to prepare herself as a magical girl. The series will be broadcast on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIIGHT (Fura-ani)" every Friday at 11pm starting from October 4th.
