It has been announced that "Red Blue," a fighting manga by Atsushi Nakiri, which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), will be adapted into a live-action drama and broadcast as a television series. The announcement was made in the 43rd issue of the magazine, released on September 18th. Details of the drama will be announced in the future. To commemorate the live-action drama, Shogakukan's manga app "Sunday Webry" will make volumes 1 to 5 of the comics available for free until September 30th.

"Red Blue" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" since January 2022. It depicts the growth of Suzuki Aoba, a gloomy, sickly, and outcast boy who has no experience in martial arts, as he jumps into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). Suzuki Aoba joins a mixed martial arts gym, trains hard, and ends up participating in MMA Koshien, a tournament to determine the strongest high school fighter.

The latest volume 11 of the comic was released on September 18th.
