The 11th episode of Fuji TV's "Monday 9" drama series "Umi no Hajimari" (Mondays at 9pm), starring Meguro Ren of the popular group "Snow Man", will be broadcast on September 16th.

In the previous episode... Natsu (Meguro) breaks up with Yayoi (Arimura Kasumi) whom he has been dating for over three years, and decides to live alone with her daughter, Nagumo Kai (Izumiya Sena).

However, there are many problems to be solved, such as what to do about Umi's transfer school and her surname. At first, Umi is reluctant to transfer schools, but when Natsu promises to spend as much time with her as possible, she accepts the transfer and lives at Natsu's house. Umi also says she doesn't mind changing her surname from "Nagumo" to "Tsukioka".

In the 11th episode... Natsu cleans up her apartment room to live with Umi. Her younger brother Yamato (Kido Daisei), who has come to help, says, "Call me if you're in trouble," but Natsu is tense, saying, "We'll do our best together." Yamato feels uneasy about her words.

Meanwhile, Umi's elementary school class holds a farewell party for her, and she is sent off by her teacher Nogi Natsumi (Yamatani Kasumi) and her classmates with applause. As she is leaving, Umi asks Natsumi if her late mother Mizuki (Furukawa Kotone) ever said anything about her. Natsumi replies, "She always said that Umi was the most important to me," and Umi smiles.

The next day, Umi, Akane (Otake Shinobu), and Shohei (Toshiki Tsuyoshi) come over to Natsu's apartment. Umi comes up to her and says loudly, "Excuse me!" and Shohei replies, "From today, I'll be 'I'm home'."

Shohei and Akane hold Umi tightly and say goodbye reluctantly. Seeing this, Natsu feels a little guilty...

The drama is a completely original work with the theme of "parent-child love," with a script by Miku Ubukata, direction by Taiki Kazama, and production by Ken Murase, reuniting the team behind "Silent" in the October 2022 season.
