Sky Castle：Episode 8 synopsis released: Miku's mother also suspects "Ruri" Arai Miu after Miku's fall accident, and "Kujo" Koyuki reveals a "dark new truth" (Episode 7 spoilers included)

The synopsis of episode 8 (to be broadcast on September 19th) of the drama series "Sky Castle" starring Nao Matsushita (TV Asahi, Thursday 9pm) has been released.

The drama is based on the Korean hit "SKY Castle: Wives of the Upper Class" (2018-19). It depicts the slushfest of celebrity wives in the upscale residential area of Sky Castle, who compete for promotion for their husbands who work at a hospital, and the exam war for their children. Matsushita, Fumino Kimura, Manami Higa, and Maryjun Takahashi play the celebrity wives, while Yukie Ko plays the exam coordinator who has a 100% success rate in getting her students into their chosen schools.

During a birthday party held at Sky Castle, the star of the day, Miku Yamada (Sora Tamaki), fell from a high place. She was taken to Teito Hospital in critical condition, unconscious. On night duty, Hideyo (Tanabe Seiichi), the husband of Sae Asami (Matsushita), is unaware that Miku is his real daughter, and prioritizes the operation of the young son of the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, for which every second counts. Miku's operation finally begins after an off-duty doctor arrives.

At the same time, the police begin an investigation into Miku's fall, considering it may have been a crime. Suspicion falls on Sae's eldest daughter, Ruri (Arai Miu), who has long had a bad relationship with Miku and acted alone at the time of the fall. Suspicion falls on Ruri, who is also suspected by her own mother, Sae, and asks for help from Kujo (Koyuki), an exam coordinator she admires.

Eventually, things take an unexpected turn. Sae reveals to Hideyo that Miku is his daughter, and the Asami family reaches a "collapse threshold." Furthermore, a "dark new truth" about Kujo is discovered. Meanwhile, Izumi (Kimura), who has been investigating Kujo's true nature, is faced with a "life-wrenching future."
