A collaboration illustration has been released for the second season of the TV anime "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online (GGO)," which is based on a spin-off of the popular light novel "Sword Art Online (SAO)" published by Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA), and the TV anime "I'm a Guild Receptionist, but I Don't Want to Work Overtime, so I'm Going to Defeat the Boss Solo (Gilmas)," also based on a light novel published by Dengeki Bunko.

The postcards feature the main characters Len and Alina Clover exchanging weapons and will be distributed at the Aniplex booth at the event "Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair 2024," to be held in Kyoto on September 21 and 22.

It was also announced that an advance screening of episodes one and two of the second season of "GGO" will be held at United Cinema Aquacity Odaiba (Minato-ku, Tokyo) on September 29. Appearing on stage will be Tomori Kusunoki, Yoko Hikasa, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Chinatsu Akasaki, and ReoNa.

"GGO" is a light novel written by Keiichi Sigsawa of "Kino's Journey" and illustrated by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, and is set in the game "Gun Gale Online," which also appeared in the second season of the "SAO" TV anime. It depicts college student Karen Kohiruimaki fighting in the game world as Ren, known as the "Pink Devil." The first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2018.

The second season will begin airing on TOKYO MX, BS11 and other stations from October 4th. It will be the first new series in about six years since the first season.
