Actor Johnny Depp visited Japan for the first time in eight and a half years and appeared at the Japan premiere of the film "Modigliani!" (released January 16, 2026) held in Tokyo on December 2nd. Artist Jin Akanishi also made a surprise appearance at the venue and presented Depp with a bouquet of flowers.
The film marks Depp's first directorial work in nearly 30 years and depicts the turbulent 72 hours that changed the life of artist Modigliani.
