The official trailer for the film "Light of the Port" (directed by Michihito Fujii , to be released on November 14th), starring actor Hiroshi Tachi , was released on September 16th.
This is the latest work from director Fujii, winner of the Best Director Award at the 48th Japan Academy Awards for his work on films such as "Ten Years Left to Live" and "The Family." It depicts the friendship and reunion that transcends the age gap between a former yakuza who has abandoned his past and a blind boy over the course of several decades. Tate plays the protagonist, former yakuza "Uncle" Miura, while Onoe Maholo plays the blind boy Kota, and Gordon Maeda plays the grown-up young man Kota.
Also appearing in the film will be Yuina Kuroshima, Takumi Saito, Pierre Taki, Wataru Ichinose, Megumi, Masachika Ichimura, Ryudo Uzaki, Takashi Sasano, and Kippei Shiina.
