A clip from the film "After the Quake" (directed by Go Inoue , scheduled for release on October 3rd), a live-action adaptation of a short story by Haruki Murakami starring Yui Narumi , Masaki Okada , Daichi Watanabe, and Koichi Sato, has been released. The footage shows the meeting between Katagiri, played by Sato, and "Kaeru-kun," voiced by Non.

The setting is a back alley in Kabukicho. Katagiri is picking up trash early in the morning. Just as he tries to pick up a stuffed rabbit, an eerie laugh rings out from the pile of trash covered in netting, and a thin, green hand appears, swaying. Slowly rising to its feet is "Kaeru-kun," the man who once saved Tokyo together with Katagiri.

"After the Quake" is the film version of the drama "After the Earthquake" that aired on NHK in April. The film is based on Murakami's short story collection "All God's Children Dance" (Shincho Bunko), published in 2000. The film is based on four stories from the book, with some time settings changed, and is a new story spanning 30 years from 1995 to 2025.
