A Teaser trailer for the film "Mutsumatsu Sekai" (directed by Kawamura Makoto, scheduled for release on November 28th), a live-action adaptation of the best-selling novel by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Murata Aju Makita , was released on September 13th.
The original novel, "Disappearing World," was released in December 2015, just before the Akutagawa Prize-winning work, "Convenience Store Woman." It depicts young people at the mercy of the turbulent nature of love, marriage, and family in a world where sex is disappearing due to a rapidly declining birthrate.
In the film, Makida plays the main character Amane, Yanagi Shuntaro plays Amane's husband Saku, Tsunematsu Yuri plays Amane's best friend Juri, and Yuki Kosei plays Amane's high school classmate Mizuuchi. Other cast members include Tomita Kentaro, Shimizu Naoya, Matsuura Ryo, Iwata Kanade, Yamanaka Takashi, Hidekazu Mashima, and Kirishima Reika.
In a world where artificial insemination has become the norm for giving birth, sexual intercourse between husband and wife is taboo, and the object of love and sexual attraction is usually a lover "outside the family" or a two-dimensional character. In such a world, the protagonist, Amane, was born "as a result of her parents' love for each other," but she hates her mother. Hoping for a clean married life where sexual love is not brought into the home, Amane falls in love with people and characters other than her husband. However, her "normal" days change completely when she moves to the experimental city of Eden with her husband... This is the story.
