"Kamen Rider Zeztz" Interview with Ryutaro Imai as "Mo" and Maho Horiguchi as"Nemu"

Ryutaro Imai Imai (20), who plays the protagonist Kamen Rider Zeztz/ Baku Yorozu , and Maho Horiguchi (16), who plays the heroine Nemu, in the latest installment of the special effects drama "Kamen Rider" series, " Kamen Rider Zeztz Z" (TV Maho Horiguchi, Sunday 9:00 AM). We asked them about the relationship between Moko and Nemu and behind-the-scenes stories from filming.

"Kamen Rider Zeztz" is the seventh installment of the Reiwa Kamen Rider series. The story follows the protagonist, Moko, who becomes an agent who infiltrates people's dreams to carry out missions, transforming into Kamen Rider Zeztz to protect people from the monster Nightmare that appears in their dreams.

In the dream world that Moko infiltrates, the nationally popular entertainer Nemu appears for some reason. And Moko is also a fan of Nemu.

-What do you think about the relationship between Moko and Nemu?

Imai: I think (Nemu) treats me as just another fan (laughs).

Horiguchi: In the first episode, Seven (Mo's agent name) helped Nemu, and I think Nemu saw him as a fan who helped her!

--I think it's a unique setting where the main character is a fan of the heroine.

Imai: I definitely thought it was new!

Horiguchi: Agents have a cool image, but when it comes to fans, you can see their geeky side, so I think it's interesting.

Imai: The gap between the real Mo and when he is an agent is something I would like you to see.

--I heard that Horiguchi received sweets from Imai during filming.

Horiguchi: They give us sweets as gifts.

Imai: I think young people like gummies, so I buy some for them...

Horiguchi: They also give us gummy candies, but we get more dried sweet potatoes (laughs).

Imai: Because I love dried sweet potatoes (laughs).

Horiguchi: The dried sweet potatoes that Imai gives me are really delicious, but I think he has quite sophisticated tastes despite being only 20 years old (laughs).

--But I'm sure dried sweet potatoes are popular among young women these days too!

Imai-san: Really? (laughs)

--What kind of relationship do you want Moko and Nemu to have in the future?

Imai: Ideally, we would become heroes who can stand up to evil together. Even if Nemu doesn't transform, I hope we can become buddies who cooperate and fight together.

Horiguchi: It seems like there's a distance between fans and those being supported, but I hope we can become a good team!
