To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the blockbuster sci-fi film "Back to the Future," a limited-edition screening will be held in IMAX and 4DX for one week starting December 12th. The film is filled with many memorable scenes, but a certain item that played a part in one of them has gone missing. A special video was released on the 5th, capturing the massive search campaign that involved the cast, crew, and even influential figures in the music industry.
In the latter half of the story, the protagonist Marty struggles to reunite his estranged parents at a dance party. He performs Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" and belts out a passionate guitar solo on stage...in one memorable scene. However, the guitar he used in the performance, a Gibson ES-345, is now missing.
Led by Michael J. Fox, who played Marty, Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc, and producer Bob Gale, they all joined forces to search for the guitar.
This special video shows Fox and others with serious expressions calling for cooperation in order to resolve this situation. In addition, there is a surprise in the video, where a guest appears in front of Fox as he calls for help in the search.
The first "Back to the Future" film was released in 1985 and became a worldwide hit. "Part 2" (1989) and "Part 3" (1990) were also huge hits. It's a science fiction film in which high school student Marty (Fox) travels back in time in a DeLorean, a time machine created by scientist Doc (Lloyd). The first film is set 30 years in the past in 1985, the second 30 years in the future, and the third 100 years ago during the Wild West.
