A stage greeting for the hit fourth film adaptation of the gourmet drama " Oishi Kyushoku ," starring actor Hayato Ichihara , " Oishi Kyushoku : Flaming School Trip" (directed by Ayabe Shinya), was held in Tokyo on November 8th, with Ichihara, Rena Takeda, Ei Shin, and Kosaka Kazuki making appearances.
"Oishi Kyushoku" is a school gourmet comedy set in a junior high school in the 1980s, depicting a battle between a school lunch fanatic teacher, Yukio Amarida (played by Ichihara), and a student who is also a school lunch fanatic, over who can eat school lunch more deliciously. The drama began airing in 2019, and to date, three drama series and three theatrical versions have been released.
This fourth installment marks the first time a school lunch battle breaks out during a school trip. Amarida and his students depart on a three-day, two-night school trip to Aomori and Iwate. Even away from school, Amarida still has a passion for food. He is excitedly savoring Tohoku local dishes like rice cracker soup and wankosoba, when he happens to meet Mr. Misono (Takeda), his former instructor at Tokisetsu Junior High School. At a school lunch exchange event, Amarida's excitement rises as he is given the strict instruction of Mr. Misono's senior teacher, Kabasawa (Jin Katagiri). What is the ultimate love for school lunches that Amarida discovers during his school trip?
