It was revealed on December 21st that a sequel to the film version of Chainsaw Man : Reze, based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto , called Chainsaw Man Chainsaw Man : Assassin Arc, will be produced. A teaser visual and promotional video have been released, impressively depicting the assassins aiming for Denji's heart.
"Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action story that follows Denji, a boy possessed by a demon, as he works as a devil hunter. Part 1 was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. Part 2 has been serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +" since July 2022. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 34 million.
The TV anime series aired from October to December 2022. The animated film "Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc" was released on September 19th and has been a huge hit, grossing 9.65 billion yen and attracting over 6.31 million viewers in 91 days.
