The official trailer and final key visual for the second part of " Sound! Euphonium! Ayano Takeda : The Final Movement," a theatrical film that reconstructs "Sound ! Sound! Euphonium ! Sound! Euphonium," which is based on the novel by Ayano Takeda, have been released. "Sound! Euphonium," which has continued for approximately 11 years since the start of the first TV anime season in 2015, will conclude with the second part of "The Final Movement."
This trailer focuses on the protagonist Kumiko Oumae and her rival Mayu Kuroe, showcasing the intertwining ideals and feelings of each character, their struggles leading up to their "final performance," the difficulty of creating music, and the determination of the Kitauji High School brass band as they unite to aim for a gold medal at the national competition. In addition to scenes of Mayu with tears in her eyes and powerful performance sequences, new cuts are also included, showing scenes from the school festival and the characters looking up at the sky with their graduation certificates in hand.
The final key visual depicts the main characters walking in the same direction, accompanied by the tagline, "And then, the final song begins." The second part will be released on September 11th.
"Sound! Euphonium" depicts the growth of the brass band members, including euphonium player Kumiko Oumae, at Kitauji High School. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2015, the second season from October to December 2016, and the third season from April to July 2024. "The Final Movement" is a polished version of cuts from the third season of the TV anime, with many new scenes added. The first part was released on April 24th.
