From June 12th, Friday Road Show (Nippon Television Network, Fridays at 9 PM) will air the popular "Toy Story" series for four consecutive weeks. The lineup coincides with the release of the latest film, "Toy Story 5," and on that day, they will show the first film (1995, USA), which made history as a feature-length 3DCG animation, along with two popular short films, "Buzz Lightyear's Return" (2011, USA) and "Rex the Bath King" (2012, USA).
◇Toy Story
Woody (Toshiaki Karasawa), a cowboy doll, is Andy's (Kosuke Ichimura) favorite toy. However, on Andy's birthday, the latest action doll, Buzz Lightyear (George Tokoro), appears, threatening to steal Woody's spotlight. Woody and Buzz reunite in Andy's car on the way to a pizza place, but get into a fight and get left behind.
◇Fake Buzz has arrived
Buzz Lightyear (voiced by George Tokoro) is taken to a fast-food restaurant by his owner, Bonnie (voiced by Sumire Morohoshi). While playing in the ball pit with Bonnie, a mini Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Sosuke Komori) that was on display in the store escapes from the shelf and takes Buzz's place. They head back to Bonnie's house, but after seeing the mini Buzz, Woody and the others start planning a plan to get the real Buzz back.
◇Rex is the king of baths
Rex (voiced by Yuji Mitsuya), a timid and gentle dinosaur, always ruined the fun atmosphere when playing with his toy friends. One day, Rex takes a bath with his owner, Bonnie (voiced by Sumire Morohoshi). Bonnie was playing with the bath toys and Rex when her mother took her out. As Rex filled the bathtub with water, the bath toys excitedly started a party.
Next week, on Friday, June 19th, Friday Road Show will air the second film in the series, "Toy Story 2" (2000, USA).
