"Shinkon-san Irasshai!" (Welcome, Newlyweds!), a long-running variety show hosted by Takashi Fujii and Sakura Inoue (ABC TV/TV Asahi network, Sundays at 12:55 PM), will air its second part of its first-ever "Two-Week Consecutive Feature on the Same Couple" on June 7th, featuring a couple consisting of a navigator and an IT saleswoman. Someone who knew the couple's relationship will share a special anecdote.
The story of Tamon Takemata (28) and Mio Takemata (28), a couple living in Tokyo, was so dramatic that it couldn't fit into a single week's (approximately 30-minute) slot, resulting in the couple's second week being the first time the show has aired a two-part episode.
The two were born at almost the same time in the same hospital in Osaka, but MC Fujii explained, "Someone who is deeply involved in both of their lives is actually in the audience." The staff had painstakingly found the person who was present at the moment of their birth 27 years ago and invited them to the studio. Another chapter in the two's "history" will be revealed.
