The popular webtoon "Tempal: The Power of Items" will be adapted into a TV anime series, which will begin airing in October. Ayako Kono, known for "Sword Art Online Progressive: The Movie," will direct, Kenta Inohara of "Saga of Tanya the Evil" will handle series composition, and Ryosuke Tanikawa of "Demon Lord 2099" will be in charge of character design. JCSTAFF will produce the animation. It has also been announced that Ryumaru Tachibana will play the main character, Greed, and Asami Seto will play Yura as the main cast.
"Tempal: The Power of Items" is set in "SATISFY," the world's best virtual reality game. The story follows Greed (Takumi Nagamine), the protagonist who, by chance, obtains the legendary item, the Book of Phagma, and changes his job to become a legendary blacksmith. He aims to rise from a life burdened with debt to become the best among 2 billion players. It is a work by REDICE STUDIO, which has produced popular webtoons such as "Solo Leveling" and "The King of Grave Raiders," and has gained popularity on the electronic manga and novel service "Piccoma," accumulating a total of 81.89 million hearts (likes) and winning the "Piccoma AWARD 2023."
A teaser PV hinting at the beginning of Greed's story as he aims to go from "weakest" to "strongest," and a teaser visual showing Greed as a blacksmith with a sword in hand have been released.
