The variety show "Get Rich Quick! Treasure Mountain" (Nippon Television Network), hosted by Hiroji Kato of the comedy duo "Gokuraku Tombo," will air on June 2nd at 8 PM.
This time, along with Mr. Kato, car enthusiast Hiromi, and guest Yumi Wakatsuki, who is participating as a new employee, they will repair and revive a dormant car and put it up for auction.
The Honda S600, a legendary car from 62 years ago. Its owner worked for Honda for 40 years, but now suffers from dementia, and his memories of that time are fading. Carrying the hopes of his daughters, who want him to regain his spirits by seeing that red sports car in action once again, the craftsmen are stepping up to the challenge. Will the rusted engine roar once more?
Also making an appearance is the legendary and rare "Daihatsu Fellow Buggy," a car that was once sold in a limited edition of only 100 units, and of which only a few are said to be drivable in Japan. Hiromi fell in love with the car's cuteness and decided to invest his own money in its restoration. Through the masterful full repaint by skilled craftsmen, the well-worn Buggy is transformed into a superb vehicle that will make everyone do a double-take.
Furthermore, the legendary "Faster Rodeo," a vehicle that spearheaded truck culture during the Showa era, will also be participating in the auction.
