Kaori Sakamoto, who won a silver medal in women's figure skating at the Milan-Cortina Olympics and retired from competitive skating after the World Championships in March, will appear in " Touken Ranbu - ICE BLADE -", the first ice show based on the popular game " Touken Ranbu ONLINE". Sakamoto will appear as an original character, an ice spirit.
" Touken Ranbu - ICE BLADE -" features top skaters who are active in ice shows both domestically and internationally portraying Touken Danshi characters. Takahito Mura will play Mikazuki Munechika, Yoji Nakano will play Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Yuki Sato will play Yamatonokami Yasusada, Kazuki Kushida will play Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Kyosuke Yamamoto will play Hizamaru, Keiji Tanaka will play Heshikiri Hasebe, Keisuke Kodaira will play Tsurumaru Kuninaga, and Kohei Yoshino will play Yamanbagiri Chogi. A key visual has been released showing Mura, Kushida, and Kodaira dressed as Touken Danshi dancing on the ice.
It was also announced that the voice actors from the original game "Touken Ranbu ONLINE" will be making a voice appearance. Kosuke Toriumi as Mikazuki Munechika, Toshiki Masuda Masuda as Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Yamatonokami Yasusada, Tomoaki Maeno as Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Hizamaru, Soma Saito as Tsurumaru Kuninaga, and Kengo Takanashi as Yamanbagiri Chogi will be providing the voices in sync with the skaters' movements. It was also announced that the taiko drumming group "Kodo" will be making an appearance.
It will be held at the National Yoyogi Gymnasium First Gymnasium (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on October 3rd and 4th.
"Touken Ranbu ONLINE" is a sword-training simulation game where players raise and lead "Touken Danshi," famous swords transformed into warriors, to fight and protect history. DMM GAMES handles development and operation, while Nitroplus is in charge of the world setting, scenario, and character design. The PC browser version launched in 2015, and the smartphone app service started in 2016. As of May 2026, the total number of users has exceeded 15 million.
The musical "Touken Ranbu" began in 2015, followed by the stage play "Touken Ranbu" in 2016. The TV anime "Touken Ranbu-Hanamaru-" aired from 2016, and "Katsugeki Touken Ranbu" aired in 2017. The kabuki play "Touken Ranbu" began in July 2023, and the music live project "Pure Touken Danshi" began in October 2024, demonstrating the franchise's multimedia expansion.
