"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Fridays at 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show where "detectives" tackle outlandish requests and worries submitted by viewers. On May 29th, Detective Ken Maeda investigated "a surefire way to win at hand sumo wrestling." Actor Kazuki Kitamura made his first appearance on the show as the special director, with Takanori Takeyama as assistant director and Saori Masuda as secretary.
The request came from a male university student named Yamamoto (21) from Kanagawa Prefecture. He claims to have discovered a surefire way to win at hand sumo when he was in elementary school. However, since the technique only works on first encounters, he keeps it for emergencies but rarely has the opportunity to use it. He wants to test how far this surefire method will go and asks for your cooperation.
When Detective Maeda challenged him to a fight, Yamamoto aimed for his opponent's nipples. In response, Detective Maeda's hand moved towards the center of his body, and he was easily pushed away. Yamamoto, who discovered this principle when he was in elementary school, went on to face off against tough opponents such as men who frequented the gym and rugby players in the shopping district, winning 30 out of 32 matches.
The program also received another request, almost identical, from a 21-year-old man named Okita. His request was, "I have never lost at hand-pushing sumo. Please teach me what it means to lose."
Okita, who boasts of his leg strength honed through soccer and his overwhelming defensive abilities, ventured out into the shopping district to challenge others, and won every single match. So, what will be the outcome of the hand-pushing sumo match between Yamamoto and Okita to determine the strongest man!?
