Visuals of the Ten Brave Warriors in their civilian clothes have been released for "Armor Legend Samurai Troopers," a new TV anime series that is a direct sequel to the "Armor Legend Samurai Troopers" TV anime series that aired from April 1988 to March 1989. The visuals show a new side of them that is different from their appearances in armor.
To commemorate the release of the character song CD "'Yoroi Shinden Samurai Troopers' CHARACTER SONG ALBUM vol.1" on May 27th, the music video for "Samurai Soul," an original song to be included in "'Yoroi Shinden Samurai Troopers' CHARACTER SONG ALBUM vol.2," which will be released on June 24th, has been released on YouTube. The song, sung by Gai, Uesugi Kaito, Hojo Musashi, Hojo Yamato, and Ishida Shion, powerfully sings of the pride of the Samurai Troopers who charge straight ahead without flinching even against formidable enemies, and the spirit of the samurai: "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness."
It was also announced that a "DST Suggestion Box" will be set up on the official website to collect opinions and requests regarding "Armor Legend Samurai Troopers." The box will be available from May 28th to July 6th, and submissions can be made once a day.
"Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" is the first new anime in approximately 35 years since the OVA "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers MESSAGE" released in 1991, and the first TV anime series in approximately 37 years. It is a completely original story set in present-day Shinjuku, directed by Yoichi Fujita, known for "Gintama" and "Mr. Osomatsu," with series composition and script by Shogo Muto, known for "Kamen Rider Build," "Crows Zero," and "Thermae Romae." It will be broadcast in two parts, with the first part airing from January to March. The second part will air from July.
"Ronin Warriors" is an anime produced by Sunrise that depicts five boys who possess "Yoroi Gear" (armored suits) being brought together by fate to fight against the demonic army led by the demon emperor Arago. The TV anime aired from April 1988 to March 1989, and due to its popularity, OVAs were also produced. "Ronin Warriors Gaiden" was released in 1989, "Ronin Warriors: Legend of the Shining Emperor" from 1989 to 1990, and "Ronin Warriors: Message" in 1991. A manga adaptation by Ryuichi Hoshino was serialized in "Comic Bonbon" (Kodansha).
