The story follows Masaki Ikawa (Tamamori), who lives in the peaceful town of "Morinuma Nextown." He works as a caregiver at a nursing home and enjoys a happy life with his wife Mayumi, whom he has been married to for six years, and their pet finch. One day, Ikawa is involved in a fall and falls into a coma. A week later, he wakes up and returns home to find someone else living there, impersonating him. It seems that even his colleagues and Mayumi don't remember Ikawa... This is a suspenseful love story.
On the 21st, it was revealed that Ran Murakami will play the childhood version of the main character, Tama Hano (played by Shizuka Ishibashi), in the 2026 second-half NHK Asadora drama series "Blossom ," starring Shizuka Ishibashi . Murakami was born on January 29, 2014, and is 12 years old. She was selected after an audition with 426 participants. The character she will play, Tama Hano, is a girl who loves reading and attends an elementary school in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. " Blossom" is a story modeled after Chiyo Uno, a writer who lived through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras and constantly sought freedom. The main character, Tama Hano, leaves her hometown of Iwakuni, Yamaguchi, and, through encounters with fascinating people, pursues her dreams and pushes forward into the turbulent Taisho and Showa eras.
On the 21st, it was revealed that "Zenketsu," the drama series starring Tatsuya Fujiwara and co-starring Alice Hirose, which was announced to be made into a film last August, will be relaunched as a two-part big project. "Zenketsu" was a drama series that aired on Fuji TV in October 2024, set in the world's oldest investigative agency, "Zenketsu," which solves "unexplained and bizarre cases" that defy common sense. The first film is set two years after the drama's final episode, when the world is still unstable after the loss of important gods, and mysterious hostage situations occur in various places. In the second film, terrorist acts are carried out by a mysterious organization. A major incident unfolds in Kyoto, the ancient capital where gods reside, and soon the harmony between the human world and the world of the gods begins to crumble...
On the 21st, it was revealed that Wakana Matsumoto and Hayato Sano of "M!LK" will be co-starring for the first time in the July drama series "Kimi no Suki wa Muteki" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10 PM). This will be Matsumoto's first leading role in a Tuesday 10 PM drama in two years since "Saionji-san wa Kaji o Shinai," and it will be a workplace drama in which she and her co-star Sano work in the character business industry. The protagonist, Anna Kusakabe (Matsumoto), a talented consultant, suddenly quits her job one day, declaring, "I'm going to FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early)!" Anna takes a part-time job sorting receipts at a small design company, where she meets Mizuki Seo (Sano), who works as a character designer, and together they aim to create a globally popular character... Sanrio, the company that created characters such as Hello Kitty, is cooperating with the production.
On the 21st, it was revealed that Taishi Nakagawa Nakagawa will appear in the WOWOW drama "Continuous Drama W-30 'ALIUS -Specific Incident Investigation File-'" (broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand on Sundays at 10pm, 6 episodes in total), starring Kuranosuke Sasaki, which will begin airing on July 19th. Nakagawa will play Toru Kanzaki, a researcher seconded from the National Research Institute of Police Science to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division, who joins Shogo Sano (Sasaki) in his investigations. It was also announced that Yuri Tsunematsu will play Anna Hazumi, a detective in the First Investigation Division who works alongside Sano as his right-hand woman in tackling difficult cases, and Maki Sakai will play Kaoru Tatsumi, Sano's ex-wife who left him three years ago without giving any reason.
On the 22nd, it was announced that Yuji Oda will star in the drama "Double Edge ~The Man Who Resurrected~," which will air on TV Asahi from 9pm on June 27th. This will be Oda's first time starring in a drama on this network. Oda will play Kosuke Gunji, a Showa-era detective whose motto is "100 visits to the scene." He was once called the ace of the First Investigation Division, but after being stabbed with a knife by a suspect in a certain case, he was transferred to the local police station's Community Safety Division. He currently uses a wheelchair. Teaming up with Gunji is Karin Karin Ono Akutsu, a financial investigator with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) who has difficulty interacting with people. She has difficulty dealing with anything outside of her scheduled work and has always excelled at desk work. After being selected to support Gunji, she is unwillingly called upon to go into the field...and so the story unfolds.
