Actor Kanata Hosoda will appear on the talk variety show "A-Studio+" (TBS), which will air on May 22nd at 11 PM.
Hosoda said, "After work, I always have a debriefing session with my manager," and "I feel more at ease with auditions than offers because I lack confidence." She also revealed how she got into the entertainment industry, saying that when she was four years old, she asked her mother if she could "get on TV."
Ms. Hosoda, who is still living with her parents in a single-parent household, says her mother sent both of her children to private schools and let them participate in all kinds of extracurricular activities. Her younger sister describes him as "a kind older brother who buys me anything I want," and her mother says, "He cooks meals for me when I'm busy," and "I love my son's homemade dumplings."
He received a direct message from his close actor friend, Yuki Yamada, asking him if he'd like to audition for the role of Okita Soji, to which he declared, "If I'm going to audition, I'm going to get the part." He spoke of his joy at being able to work with Yamada. His childhood friends from his hometown revealed a "dark past" memory, saying, "Hosoda was bawling his eyes out during a test of courage at a kendo club training camp," prompting him to sheepishly confess the truth about his boyhood, when he tried to act cool in fourth grade.
The trailer shows scenes in which she expresses her respect and gratitude for her mother, saying, "She's amazing, really," and "She raised me all by herself."
