NHK's Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , will be looking back at its eighth week, "Yuubae" (May 18-22), on May 23rd.
" Kaze,Kaoru" is the 114th morning Asadora. Based on the story of two trained nurses, Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki, who graduated from the same nursing school, the drama depicts how the two grow through their struggles and clashes with each other in how to interact with patients and doctors, and eventually become the "ultimate buddy" team. Mikami plays the main character, Rin Ichinose, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Naomi Oya.

In the eighth week, Chikako (Yukie Nakama), from the Izumi Marquis family, is hospitalized with breast cancer, and Rin (Mikami) is assigned to her care. However, Chikako is reluctant to open up. Rin continues to support Chikako, consulting with Naomi (Uesaka) and others.
Eventually, Rin learns what's on Chikako's mind. She decides to take the plunge and talk to Chikako's husband, Motohiko (Ayumu Tanida). There, Rin learns about the unexpected relationship between her late father, Shin'emon (Kazuki Kitamura), and Motohiko.
With Motohiko's support, Chikako makes up her mind to undergo the surgery. Rin also decides to be present at the surgery... and that's how the story unfolds.
