Troubled about how to deal with her, Rin consults with Naomi (Uesaka), Tae (Ikuta Erika), and Kiyo (Kikuchi Akiko), and gets hints on how to face Chikako.
On this day, the level of attention remained around 65% for most of the time, but from the middle to the end, the graph formed a slightly rounded "peak." In fact, the time period when this "peak" occurred coincides with the scene when Rin first visited Chikako's hospital room.

At around 8:08 AM, when Rin greets the new maid, Takeno (Aya Enjoji), who has just entered the hospital room, the ratings drop slightly to 67.0%, perhaps because there wasn't much development. However, they rise again from around 8:09 AM, staying in the 70% range. Chikako's treatment of Rin is escalating.
◇Princess Chikako's anger explodes in response to a question about "bowel movements"
At 8:09 AM (70.3%), Rin tries to take Chikako's pulse, but Chikako refuses. Next, Rin asks to take Chikako's temperature, but Chikako passes the thermometer directly to Takeno. Takeno simply replies, "I'll take it later and let you know."
At 8:10 a.m. (70.3%), Rin regains her composure and begins checking on Chikako's condition. When she asks what Chikako ate for breakfast, Chikako rebels, "Why would you ask me that?" After Rin explains its importance, Takeno tells her what she ate instead. When asked if there's anything else bothering her, Chikako replies, "No." Just when it seemed they were finally able to have a short conversation, the next question is, "How was your bowel movement today?" This is obviously a question that should be asked, but it's only natural to expect a strong resistance from "Lady Chikako."
The answer to Rin's question came around 8:11 AM, with Chikako's reaction being, "You rude person! Have some shame!" and "Get out. Quickly!" As expected, or perhaps even slightly more so than expected, Chikako's anger was intense. Perhaps pulled along by Chikako's passion, viewer engagement rose to a peak of 71.6% for the day. After Takeno bowed his head to Rin, she bowed back and said, "I apologize," before giving up and leaving the hospital room. In the hallway, nurse Yoshi (Mayumi Myojo) watched Rin, who was looking a little dejected, with a smile.
At 8:14 a.m., when Rin blurted out, "I understand how you must be suffering, ma'am," Chikako slammed her pillow on the floor and lashed out, "Don't say 'I understand how you feel' so easily," and pushed her away, "Don't get ahead of yourself."
