It has been announced that Shunichi Toki and Inori Minase will be voicing characters in the TV anime "The Self-Aware Saintess Continues to Unconsciously Let Her Power Flow Today," based on the light novel by Almond. The story follows Carolina, the daughter of a ducal family who has been looked down upon and called a failure, as she changes her life and finds happiness after entering into a political marriage with Edward, the clumsy second prince of a neighboring country. Toki will play Theodor Garcia, the second son of a viscount family and Edward's assistant. Minase will play Marissa Kissinger, the third daughter of the Kissinger family in the Marbas Empire and said to be one of the most beautiful women in the empire. Marissa has left home for a certain reason and becomes Carolina's lady-in-waiting.
A second promotional video featuring Carolina, Edward, Theodore, and Marissa has been released on YouTube. The video begins with Edward's memorable line, "I want to be truly married to Carolina," to which Carolina replies, "Thank you," and the two open a door, after which Theodore, Marissa, and others appear. A second situational visual has also been released, depicting Carolina and her sister Flora boating at a summer resort.
It was also announced that "Utahime Dream All Stars," an all-star unit comprised of "Utahime" selected from the media mix music project "Utahime Dream," will be in charge of the ending theme, "Unknown Me."
"The Unconscious Saintess Unconsciously Leaks Her Power Today" is a popular light novel and manga series published by Earth Star Entertainment, with over 1.8 million copies sold in total.
The anime will be directed by Mitsutaka Noshitani and produced by Magic Bus and Picante Circus. Rie Takahashi will voice Carolina, Makoto Furukawa will voice Carolina's fiancé Edward, and Haruka Shiraishi will voice Carolina's sister Flora. It will air on TOKYO MX and other channels starting in July.
