The 14th episode of "Detective Precure!", the 23rd installment of the popular anime "Precure" series, titled "Pochitan's First Outing!", will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi on May 3rd at 8:30 AM.
On their way to school, Anna and Mikuru are reprimanded by the student council president, Kaneda Rei, for bringing Pochitan in as a pouch, telling them that "only school-designated bags are allowed to be brought to school." Rei is the granddaughter of the chairman of Makoto Mirai Academy and is known for being strict about school rules and regulations. The next day, while Pochitan is left alone at the Cure Detective Agency with Jet-senpai, a letter arrives from the Cure Detective Agency in London concerning Cure Arcana Shadow. Pochitan rushes out to give the letter to Anna and Mikuru while Jet-senpai is distracted.
Pochitan was heading to the academy, but got startled by a large dog and got lost, ending up at the town library. Inside, Rei was reading picture books to children. Pochitan was engrossed in listening to Rei's voice, but when she finished reading, she saw him clapping in front of her and blurted out what he was doing.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Aruru Mori. It has also been announced that the mysterious Pretty Cure, Cure Eclair, whose true identity is unknown, will make an appearance.
