It was revealed on April 26th that Hokuto Matsumura of the popular group "SixTONES" will be starring in his first solo lead role in a terrestrial television drama, airing on Nippon Television's Saturday drama slot in July. The drama will be a completely original story and will be titled "Confession - The Secret of 25 Years -". I am grateful for this wonderful connection.
I appeared in a play written by screenwriter Watanabe six years ago, and I've always wanted to work with him again, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I will do my best to create the work while fully engaging with the script.

--Could you tell us the reason for casting Hokuto Matsumura and what you expect from him?
The protagonist, Yukimura Sota, is a man who has watched over one woman for 25 years without confessing his feelings.
He keeps his distance so she won't notice, suppressing his feelings, yet his love still seeps through.
I felt that only Hokuto Matsumura could naturally portray such a sensitive character, so I worked closely with screenwriter Watanabe, having numerous meetings to create the script.
Feelings that remained unspoken for 25 years. Distance that remained unaddressed. Yet, the love never faded.
It's not just gentle; it possesses a presence born from the weight of 25 years of experience.
