The second episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers," starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, will air on April 24th (Fridays at 10 PM).
In the previous episode...the body found in a locked room was identified as "Makimura" based on his belongings, but it turned out the body was someone else. Makoto (Okada) asked Haruko (Igawa Haruka), an informant, to investigate.
As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that Jun Okochi (played by Koshiro), who had falsely testified that he was "Makimura," had been hit by a car and subsequently died. Makoto and his team tracked down the owner of the car that committed the hit-and-run, Masaya Nogami (played by Kondo Koen), and brought him in for questioning. It seemed as though the case was solved.
Meanwhile, Haruko's investigation reveals that Okochi, whom Nogami killed in a hit-and-run accident, was the same man who drove Nogami's eldest son to suicide two years prior. However, Nogami had already left the police force...
In episode 2, the truth behind the case begins to unfold dramatically, and the possibility emerges that Nogami committed the murder out of revenge, rather than as a victim of an unfortunate accident. Makoto and Minoru (played by Someya) begin searching for Nogami, who has disappeared, once again. Then, one after another, Nogami's mysterious movements, which seem unlikely for someone on the run, are revealed.
Minoru is asked by Mogi (Takashi Yamanaka) if he will no longer see Haruko, but he stubbornly refuses. Furthermore, Minoru suddenly receives a call from an unknown source, and a shocking truth related to the murder of his parents is revealed...
The drama follows Shin Tagasari, a detective at the Qingwei Police Station, and his younger brother, Minoru Tagasari, a medical examiner working in the provincial police's investigative division, as they investigate heinous crimes that occur daily and pursue the true culprit in a case of their parents' murder that expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished. This is the latest work from producer Junko Arai, who has worked on hit crime suspense works such as the film "Last Mile" and the dramas "Unnatural," "MIU404," and "Saiai."
